Kit Bancroft

Position: Percussion

Kit was always destined to play drums ever since his parents, both founding members of the band, decided to give him the obscure abbreviation of Christopher as a name! He has contested with the band for the last 18 years since the age of 12, going from the 3rd section all the way up to 3rd place in the championships section. As well as brass bands, Kit has played in Milton Keynes Youth Orchestra and Big Band and several local rock bands, going on tour to Austria and the Czech Republic. He currently tutors for Brent Music Service Senior Concert Band and Senior Pops Orchestra.

David Pettinger

Position: Percussion

David started playing Flute at age of 8, and then picked up percussion at the age of 12. At this time, David began attending the Northamptonshire County Music Groups, progressing over the years from the Junior to the Youth sections in both Flute and Percussion. Through the county music groups, he participated numerous times in the Concert Band festivals, achieving the Gold award with the Northamptonshire Youth Concert Band every year he attended. It was also while a member of the Youth sections, he joined orchestral tours of Poland and Austria, had the opportunity to perform at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Music For Youth National Festivals, and was also invited to support Northampton Symphony Orchestra on percussion. While at University in Reading, David began attendance at Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra, where he continues to hold the role of Principal Timpanist and Percussion coordinator. After moving to near Banbury for work, he joined MK Brass in early 2022.
