The band have had some interesting and unusual bookings in recent years (check out “Good Morning Milton Keynes” for the Festival of Creative Urban Living in 2019) and when we were asked to play for the anniversary of the unveiling of the Concrete Cows in 1978, our first reaction was “Pull the UDDER one!”.

We paid our second visit of the summer to Hindhead Knoll on Sunday, 21 August 2022 as guests of Walton Community Council. The Parks Trust is the charity that looks after the parks, woodlands and lakes in Milton Keynes and today, they put on some organised walks around the art exhibits in the park and gave away tea and scones (complete with cream and jam!).

MK Brass had many requests to perform for street parties, schools, and community events over the platinum weekend but in an attempt not to permanently bruise our cornet players’ lips we stuck to just the 2 performances on the Sunday for our full band, with smaller groups performing in schools during the week.
