Despite the challenging weather during the Remembrance Day parade in Newport Pagnell, the resilient spirit of the participants, including the Milton Keynes brass band, veterans, cadets, guides, scouts, brownies, and mopeds, prevailed as we marched up High Street to the church.

Milton Keynes Brass recently delivered a delightful evening proms concert at the Leighton Buzzard bandstand. Against the backdrop of this scenic outdoor venue, the band’s performance featured an array of beloved British classics, including Pomp and Circumstance, Jerusalem, I Vow to Thee My Country, and Famous British Sea Songs.

Milton Keynes Brass recently had the pleasure of performing at Loughton Manor First School’s May Fayre fete gig on Saturday, 20 May 2023. The sun shone brightly, warming both the atmosphere and our new hats! The band delighted the audience with a selection of crowd-pleasing favourites, including “Blaydon Races,” “Carmen Fantasy,” “Feelin Good,” and “Bat Out of Hell.”

Milton Keynes Brass make a welcome return to Abington Park, Northampton

Performing on the bandstand at Abington Park in Northampton is an opportunity that Milton Keynes Brass always look forward to, and it often attracts large crowds. Although we were given a much better date in mid May this year (following the icy 1 or 2 degrees at the beginning of April last year!), the forecast was rain. However, the local crowds didn’t let us down, and even brought the sunshine with them.

Milton Keynes Brass 10 piece band perform at the Big Coronation Lunch

Sunday 7 May saw the first outing for our 10 piece band at the Big Coronation Lunch. With over 500 people attending to enjoy the sunshine, mobile farm, fire engine and a picnic whilst listening to the band. The interval saw the band choosing between ice cream or coffee.
