Despite the challenging weather during the Remembrance Day parade in Newport Pagnell, the resilient spirit of the participants, including the Milton Keynes brass band, veterans, cadets, guides, scouts, brownies, and mopeds, prevailed as we marched up High Street to the church.
Soggy clothes and even soggier music was a testament to the determination to honour those who have fought in the Great World Wars and more recent conflicts.
The names of the fallen were solemnly read out, and despite the weather, the ceremony proceeded well, concluding with closing hymns before the crowd headed into the church for the formal service.
