The Milton Keynes Brass bandstand season started early on 7 April this year and it was certainly a windy weekend with gusts of up to 40 miles per hour.
Despite sandbags, pegs and magnets to hold everything together, music blew off and even the instruments had to be kept under control. Residents of Northampton Town came out as usual and regardless and were treated to some sunshine and an abundance of soloists who performed superbly.
The Northampton series of concerts on the bandstand go right through the summer to September and they are really well organised events in a beautiful setting with a fantastic café.
The band have further park performances at West Bletchley- bands on the green 9 June, Bedford river festival 21 June, and Leighton Buzzard bandstand 28 July.
