We also had Martin Groves, our Soprano Cornet playing a beautiful piece called Let Freedom Ring.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Following a well-deserved ice cream break, the band kicked off the second half with Famous British Marches before featuring another soloist \u2013 Cliff Wilkinson with Blaydon Races. The band then slowed things down with some wonderful playing of a really beautify piece \u2013 A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square before upping the tempo with a recently arranged piece for the band \u2013 Neil Diamond\u2019s Sweet Caroline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">The band concluded the afternoon with music from Shostakovich Waltz no. 2 from Jazz Suite and finishing off with Breezin\u2019 Down Broadway \u2013 as the name suggests this features a number of songs \u2013 Another Opening, Another Show; There\u2019s No Business Like Show Business; Get Me To The Church On Time; That\u2019s Entertainment and 76 Trombones.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">The sun brought out a very appreciative crowd who I\u2019m sure enjoyed the afternoon as much as we did.
