The Welsh Open Brass Band Entertainment Championship contest now it attracts bands from all over the UK, with 14 bands travelling from as far as South Yorkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Devon, Gloucestershire, West and South Wales for this year’s contest, in search of the magnificent CISWO Challenge Trophy first prize of £1,000, and the wonderful opportunity to secure a Senior Trophy invite to the 2024 Spring Festival in Blackpool — just three steps away from competing at the most prestigious brass band contest in the world, The British Open. Adjudicated by Sheona White and compered by David Hayward, the event will commence at 11am.
